CBRNE-WMD Capstone
Real Threats. Real Decisions. Real Impact.
The CBRNE-WMD Capstone Event immerses participants in a dynamic, high-intensity operational exercise designed to test their ability to lead, adapt, and execute in real-world CBRNE-WMD scenarios. Drawing on their training in leadership, emerging technologies, and medical management, participants will be tasked with coordinating multi-agency operations, integrating advanced tools into field response, and managing mass casualty medical interventions under time-sensitive and resource-constrained conditions. Emphasizing tactical decision-making, interagency communication, and rapid problem-solving, the capstone reinforces participants’ readiness to lead effective CBRNE-WMD operations in today’s complex threat environment.
Inaugural Event
September 10–12, 2025!
Price: $1,500
Be on the Front Line of Defense

The CBRNE-WMD Capstone scenario will be based on the 2026 FIFA World Cup being hosted in North America. The scenario builds on the three microcredentials—Leadership and Management, Emerging Technologies, and Medical Management and Pre-Hospital Considerations—to create an immersive, high-intensity, and multi-modal exercise that reflects the dynamic asymmetric threats of the modern world.
Participants will engage in scenario-based analyses, strategic simulations, and critical discussions designed to assess their mastery of interdisciplinary knowledge and its practical application to the evolving field of CBRNE-WMD preparedness and response.
The CBRNE-WMD Capstone Experience will feature industry experts from federal, state, and local agencies, local EMS and health departments, GW Faculty, and other private sector representatives. The experience will also include demonstrations and industry insights from partner organizations. While preparing you to be on the front line of defense, the CBRNE-WMD Capstone Experience focuses on building your network. You will have countless opportunities to speak with defense experts through the experience to advance your knowledge and network.

“…our nation needs talent development platforms that meet the rising demand of the global CBRNE threats, at the speed of relevance, that this field requires.”
