Be on the Front Line of Defense
The CBRNE Credentials Program is a robust training program consisting of three specialized credentials, each focusing on a different aspect of CBRNE-WMD defense. Delivered primarily through an asynchronous format over 7–8 weeks, each credential offers approximately 40 hours of learning and engagement and includes synchronous sessions with current experts in the field of CBRNE-WMD and asymmetric threats.
These credentials are ideal for:
- First responders, military personnel, and emergency managers seeking specialized CBRNE-WMD training.
- Public health officials and professionals in related fields requiring an in-depth understanding of CBRNE-WMD and asymmetric threats.
- Leaders and managers responsible for CBRNE-WMD operations and policy implementation.
Credentials Overview
The CBRNE-WMB credential program is comprised of three interdependent micro-credentials leading to a capstone event in Washington, D.C., hosted by the College of Professional Studies and George Washington University.
Leadership and Management of CBRNE-WMD Organizations and Teams Micro-Credential
Focus on leadership roles and management strategies within CBRNE-WMD organizations. Learn to navigate the legal, regulatory, and operational frameworks for effective response to asymmetric threats and develop skills in strategic planning, interagency coordination, and crisis communication.

Application Requirements
To be eligible for the GW RevU Micro-Credential Program, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Academic and Professional Standing: Applicants must be in good professional standing and have been actively working in their field of study or service for at least two years.
- Professional Background: Candidates with relevant experience in fields such as healthcare, public health, emergency management, law enforcement, security, engineering, environmental sciences, elected officials, telecommunications, or any other discipline associated with private sector or governmental roles in CBRNE (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive) threat detection, mitigation, or consequence management are eligible for consideration.
- Submission of Documents: Each applicant is required to submit a current resume outlining their professional experience. Additionally, a letter of endorsement from a supervisor or someone in their chain of command is mandatory to verify their qualifications and support their participation in the program.
This program is designed for professionals seeking to advance their knowledge, skills, and abilities in CBRNE-WMD and asymmetric threat response, mitigation, and management in the private and public sectors.
